Adobe Reader

As you must be aware you will need Adobe Reader in order to view and print worksheets available here. What you may not know is that the latest version can actually read the worksheets to you although this only works if you are using Windows XP (the speech reader is built into the OS). So, if you have a student who is for example visually impaired, let them have an electronic version and the computer can help them understand it. Download the latest version of Adobe Reader(28/10/08)
AVP: Education Software and Video

AVP produce a wide range of material for education. Amongst this you will find videos that cover subjects such as 'Organisation in the Workplace', 'Writing Business Letters' and 'Systems in a Hotel'. To give graphics a different slant why not buy some blank keyrings or fridge magnets (see www.micromagneticsltd.com) and get your students to design the inserts. Why not get a badge making kit as well? It's dead simple and students love it. (14/07/06)

This might make learning about office layout a little bit more interesting. From Aspex Software, this enables students to design and create an office with furniture, doors, desks etc which can then be turned into a 3D elevated view. Interactive software available from this company covers a wide range of subjects. For BaCS there are two suitable programs available:
ICT - Tools, Techniques and Systems CD1;
ICT - Tools, Techniques and Systems CD2.
The quality of this sofware is superb and combines excellent animations with narrated text. There are quizzes, drag and drop activities and labelling zones. Presented in a way that will be fun and engage students. A 14-day trial of the full version of the software is available.(28/10/08)
